Red Buff Spalding/Black Shoulder Spalding/Spalding Black Shoulder

"Red Buff" Spalding is a descriptor for a Black Shoulder Spalding with a high-red phenotype (ie, where they should be white there are many buff or red feathers, and/or the overall color of the bird may be red/buff-shifted). This pattern is a lot less obvious in adult males than adult females. It is not recognized as a color or pattern morph by the UPA, as it is likely the result of being a hybrid (ie mixed wild-type genetics) rather than an actual genetic mutation.
