As near as we can tell at this time, Hazel and Indigo are peafowl who are both fully bronze and fully purple at the same time. However, while they share a genotype (genetic makeup) they differ in phenotype (visual appearance). It is yet to be determined why, but we do know that breeding hazel to hazel produces some indigo, and breeding indigo to indigo produces some hazel.
